When someone starts off with "True Story" they intend to capture your attention and dispel any disbelief in what you are about to hear. The band True Story wants nothing less. When you are listening to the music of True Story you get that. There is undeniable passion in their performance reminiscent of the days of tent revivals and circuit preachers come to town to renew excitement in your faith; a brash, no apologies, irresistible offering for their audiences. True Story. Clint Nolder, Todd Lyons, Brady Lewis, Michael Chambers and Alan Black are the hearts and souls that come together to form the unique sound that is True Story. Together they have decided that it is not good enough to be just another band, so they set out to make an unmistakable difference in whatever community they reach. In 2012 they completed two international tours. The first was to Guatemala where they would battle poverty with their music by building homes in the towns they stopped in. The second was a Christmas tour in Lebanon where they overcame social and political climates to sing the name of Jesus in the Middle East. When they are home they still hold the commitment to make a difference so they volunteer their time, talent and resources to see True Love change their city. These international tours and local commitments brought the band closer together leading them to a more clearly defined purpose of music which would inspire the songs in their new album " More than a Melody." Over the last two years True Story members have had to grow as individuals in beautiful, difficult, joyful, painful, and unexpected ways. Through everything, the band writes, plays and sings producing a raw and genuine sound that reflects the relationships of the individuals on the stage. This is part of what makes More Than a Melody's tone so organic; their roots are showing, bringing out some country twang not heard before in their other albums. The development and creation of More Than A Melody depended on faith more than any of their previous works. Every step of the way, from inspiration for the songs to the overwhelming support of their fans, God has abundantly provided. This release party will be a genuine celebration and they want everyone to be apart of it.
