The Pop Group were anything but what their name described. Their songs were mostly political diatribes against luminaries of the time like the evil Margaret Thatcher. The music is barely listenable to the a generally unwilling, ear candy trained teenybopper. For those with a sense of adventure and purpose though, these pieces can be richly rewarding. Both this and their second album 'For How Much Longer Must We Tolerate Mass Murder' stand as inspiration to many that followed, including Fugazi, Fun-da-mental and Rage Against the Machine. Includes the bonus track 'She Is Beyond Good And Evil'.
