As people and musicians, the Track Record prides itself on open mindedness and draws influence from popular music dating back to early jazz in the first half of the 20th century and extending to more contemporary genres such as rock, indie, hip hop, and emo. The group, who has been together for 2 years, is a pop band at heart that writes smart honest lyrics from topics as far ranging as love of cold weather to the effects of the media on self-images of teenage girls.
