Returning to the themes of his classic SUNSET BOULEVARD, director Billy Wilder weaves a noir thriller of an aging Hollywood goddess and her impossible pursuit of youth in FEDORA. William Holden stars as a film producer who travels to the Greek isles to coax a Garbo-like screen idol (Marthe Keller) out of seclusion. But the deeper he infiltrates Fedora's remote villa, evading an overprotective countess (Hildegard Knef) and a mysterious plastic surgeon (Jose Ferrer), the closer he comes to discovering the terrible secret behind the actress's timeless beauty. In telling this fable of Hollywood's faded glory, Wilder reunited with collaborators from some of his greatest successes: Holden (STALAG 17), screenwriter I.A.L. Diamond (SOME LIKE IT HOT), and composer Miklos Rosza (DOUBLE INDEMNITY). This edition of Fedora was mastered in 2K from the original camera negative, produced by Bavaria Media, in cooperation with Cine post production.
