Buddy de Franco is a true living legend - a man who has been recognized since the mid-'40s as one of the all time great clarinet players. A veteran of the big bands of Krupa, Barnet, Tommy Dorsey and Boyd Raeburn, Buddy won the Down Beat poll for ten straight years (1945-1954)! He has made countless albums under his own name and has recorded with everybody form Art Tatum to Oscar Peterson via Art Blakey and Count Basie. "Lush Life" features the inimitable Gordie Fleming (accordion), Michel Donato (bass), Peter Magadini (drums).
