Young Galaxy is the creative confluence of kindred spirits, Stephen Ramsay and Catharine McCandless. They formed in Vancouver and moved to Montreal to live and to record their self-titled debut album. Through the summer of 2005 and the spring of 2006 they recorded with appearances and contributions of many dear friends at Jace Lasek's Breakglass Studio. Their sound is kaleidoscopic, with heavy tones and hypnotic male/female vocals. Like their namesake, Young Galaxy has borne something concrete of something abstract and ephemeral.
