The Barrens - Worming

'Worming' is a blistering psychedelic rock mini-opus from NYC band the Barrens. More vibrant and genre-defying than many of their indie-rock peers, the Barrens are carving a path through the NYC underground scene by mixing hard rock, punk and grunge elements with trippy sounds reminiscent of their influences in 60s and 70's psychedelic rock scene. In the current Indie scene, it's hard to find a band that rocks hard without being a garage-era throwback or thinly veiled classic rock re-tread. The Barrens are neither, and yet manage to rock harder than most. Fans of everything from the Pixies to the Beach Boys can find something to love about the Barrens style of eclectic and melodic hard rock.
