Mark J. - Witness

'Witness' seeks to inspire faith, hope and love, presenting the truth of the Gospel through music. Mark once again showcases Oregon State Champion Rex Putnam High School Choir singing the title track 'Witness' and closing the CD with the beautiful 'There is no Rose'. This CD blends contemporary woship songs and older Gospel favorites along with original compostions by Mark J. 'Witness' follows Mark J.'s 'We are not Alone' CD, which also features lush choral performances by the Rex Putnam H.S. Choir. A wide variety of musical styles are on display here. Everything from foot stompin' Gospel vocals on 'I'll Fly Away' to smooth instrumental bossa nova on 'Beyond the Sky'. Mark J is featured on piano, keyboards and flugelhorn. Notable guest artists include Phil Bondy and Mike Swan on drums, background vocals from Mark J.'s son, Mark John Jeleniewski and friends Beau, and Austin (from the Choir),Tyler Luecke ( from the vocal group Rescue), Dave Captien and Sandin Wilson on bass, Chuck Wentzel and Neal Grandstaff on guitar. Special thanks to choir director Erika Lockwood and my friend Bob Roden (R.I.P.) on sax. Let the Spirit move you !!!
