About Jamie Rattner Hailing from New York City, art-rocker and poet Jamie Rattner's edgy and confessional songs at the piano have earned her comparisons to writer, Anne Sexton and associations with singers like Trent Reznor and Kate Bush. Her newest album is sold in a set with a booklet of her poetry;the package is titled Within Testimony to this songstress' carefully penned songs Jamie was recently named Runner Up for Song of the Year in an international songwriting competition for VH-1's Save The Music Foundation, a success that was quickly followed by an Honorable Mention in American Songwriter Magazine's November/December issue for their own reputable contest. By the age of 24, Jamie has appeared on TV, had impressive airplay on 100+ stations & had a CD produced by Tim Bruhns (Holly Palmer,Ellis Paul). Her dramatic performance style continued to develop at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she studied with the teachers of Aimee Mann & Paula Cole to name a few. She has gone on to stir audiences from her home in NYC to Europe where her literary,artistic style has found great appreciation.
