Kim Person - Windows of Life

Lana Puckett and Kim Person's musical journey began as a duo in 1981 after winning the Country Vocalist category in the 'American Song Festival/Coulumbia Recording Artist Search.' They have been described as triple threat artists with passionate precision vocals, impeccable guitar playing and award winning song writing abilities. Music reviewer Monette Austin described their music as 'songs written in the key of life.' Producer Brian Wood, who has produced Nanci Griffith, Bill Staines, Lyle Lovette and Hal Ketchem, described Kim and Lana as 'Some of the finest musicians, songwriters and entertainers I know. They have an innate sense of honesty, professionalism and sincerity that shines through in their music.' In their musical journey Lana and Kim have shared the stage with Pam Rose of Kennedy/Rose, Jill Colucci, Janice Ian, Kate Campbell, Pattie Larkin, Chuck Pyle, Chris Williamson & Tret Fure, the Kingston Trio and numerous other outstanding peformers. Perhaps one the biggest highlights in their songwriting career was to have their song 'Cornstalk Pony' recorded by well know artist/writer, Steve Gillette on his 'Texas To Tennessee' CD release in 1999.
