WINCHESTER CATHEDRAL is a complex piece of work, a glance over the shoulder and onto the horizon. Clinic emerged from Liverpool at the end of the 90s sounding as if Merseybeat had never happened, as if pop had leapt from Joe Meek to Lee Perry of the Shangri-Las had drifted into Crime. Clinic's sound is frenetic and exotic with tense guitar lines, spacious melodica, mysterious lryicsm.
