Winner of a 2014 Global Music Awards Bronze Award, 'Why Do Ducks Have Webby Toes?' represents a fresh approach to original kids music, recorded with live instruments, designed to appeal to young children and adults alike! The songs have catchy tunes, fun lyrics, and a wide array of themes and music styles ranging from welcoming home a new baby brother or sister, to wanting a puppy, to moving across the country and much more. Most of the tunes have been inspired by kids' questions, activities and experiences. As independent musicians, Mim Eichmann and Doug Lofstrom have worked together on many diverse projects, including the kids' album 'Wander Down Beyond the Rainbow' and are members (along with guitarist Ed Hall) of acoustic folk quartet Trillium in Chicago, IL. Musicians on the album are: Mim Eichmann: vocals, hammered dulcimer; Doug Lofstrom: bass, background vocals, percussion; Ed Hall: guitar, banjo; Michael Levin: clarinet, saxophone, bass clarinet; James Sanders: violin; Leandro Lopez Varady: piano; Sarah Allen: drums. All lyrics, music and arrangements: Mim Eichmann; music & arrangements: Doug Lofstrom.
