After 5 years Idiot Stare releases their 3rd full length release Welcome to Babylon. Without counting the landmark births; World Deconstruction, the Valentine EP or Ghost, Welcome to Babylon marks the newest from Idiot Stare since 1997. After a lengthy hiatus Idiot Stare reformed in 2001 with a brand new line-up, an even merge of the original backbone of STG combined with 2 members from the seminal 90's coldwave band Insight 23. In 2003 they released their first foray back into the musical world with the 'Ghost' remix single, featuring twelve remixes of their single 'Ghost' from such luminaries as SMP, Christ Analogue, Penal Colony and Inertia. After 2 deaths, 3 births, 5 weddings and 2 band reunions, Idiot Stare emerge with an album more powerful than originally imagined. Welcome to Babylon is ten songs that encompass the bands' past and present, with an offering of the future. Welcome to Babylon has something for everyone: From the album's title track that steadfastly relates the good, bad and ugly life in Los Angeles, to it's downward spiral bookend 'Porno,' which will remind fans of 1997's The Hate Cage.
