Hot Sauce Johnson began in a Hollywood bar in '97; it was there that drummer Possum Hill and bassist Jason DeCosta mapped out their game plan - to be innovators, not imitators. The L.A.-based band, which also includes the smooth vocals of Sun Sannes, guitarist Rob Asuncion, "non ska" trumpeter Iresh Lal and DJ None on turntables, coined the term "JugHop" to describe their sound, which blends hardcore rhythms and hip-hop beats with a down-home feel. 1st single: "Chemical Dependency."
