Recorded live during concerts celebrating the yearlong, citywide Silk Road Chicago project in April and May 2007, this CD features the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, the Silk Road Ensemble and Wu Man, under direction of Miguel Harth-Bedoya and Alan Gilbert. The disc is a companion to NEW IMPOSSIBILITIES collection of Silk Road Chicago performances by Mr. Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble with the CSO, released in July 2007 on Sony Classical.
