Morrie Louden - Time Piece

Perhaps best known for his bass virtuosity, Morrie Louden's debut CD "Time Piece" might more appropriately wear the name "Masterpiece". Ranging from classic Brazilian to straight ahead jazz, Morrie's diverse all original compositions are woven together by an all star cast at New York's Avatar Studios. Featuring Adam Nussbaum and Gary Novak (drums), Bob Sheppard and Seamus Blake (tenor saxophone), Alex Sipiagin (trumpet), Edward Simon (piano) and string and horn arrangements by the incomparable Gil Goldstein. One hears echoes of Getz and Jobim in the exquisitely written bossa novas featuring the sensual voice of jazz newcomer Gretchen Parlato.
