History is filled with great women - women who have changed society from the inside out. In THIS IS HER STORY, a compilation of songs focusing on these great women, Teresa's hip and wholesome music brings a fresh new voice to their stories. Each biographical song emphasizes the character and essence of these wonderful role models who have made, and continue to make, a difference in the world. They demonstrate important characteristics such as courage, love, generosity, humor and through music, we can celebrate and learn from these qualities, while cultivating them within ourselves. The CD stands alone, but accompanied by The THIS IS HER STORY Cross-Curriculum, a character-based series of lesson plans designed to educate children on the importance of character, it becomes a powerful and fun learning tool. This exciting, innovative, user-friendly project meets both National and State Education Standards, is ideal for Home Educators and is specifically designed to meet the needs of Title One Education. The THIS IS HER STORY CD/Cross-Curriculum is an initiative that combines music, hands-on activities, and historical content to help students identify these qualities in real life situations and apply those principles to their own lives. It gives each student an opportunity to sing, create, and apply important principles as he/she internalizes character qualities such as generosity, courage, sensitivity, tenacity, self-determination, sincerity, integrity, persuasiveness and compassion.
