Hazard To Ya Booty was just another mid-level funk band trying to make it in St. Louis. Then something happened. During an open jam one night at practice they stumbled upon a groove so powerful, so profound, that the music itself became physical. The funk had so much stank on it that the room smelled funny. The presence of this music was palpable. Forever changed, the band laughed euphorically and dubbed this music CRUNCH FUNK. Hazard's rich history includes sharing the stage with Common, Jurassic 5, Nappy Roots, Bare Naked Ladies, Freak Bass, Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics, and the Diplomats of Solid Sound. The band has matured sonically from their 10-piece college party band beginnings in Kirksville, MO with a streamlined focus on production and arrangement, but that hasn't stopped them from injecting a lot of humor into their music, with innuendo-laced lyrics and the ridiculously epic space odyssey of the title track of their latest release.
