Mac McCaughan is best known as Superchunk's singer/guitarist, but he is also referred to as the mind behind Portastatic. This 3rd release features new instrumentation including piano, clarinet and organ, plus plenty of guest musicians. This record is more expansive than the past effprts, but still has Mac's signature touch.
