The Man from God Knows Where is a masterwork roots release from novelist/singer/songwriter Tom Russell. A project that has been in development for 7 years, it is both a song-cycle about Russell's ancestral migration to the U.S., as well as a commentary on American culture. One of Ireland's most noted singers, Dolores Keane (of de Danaan) is featured, along with well-known Norwegian artists. Highlights include a stunning Russell/Iris DeMent duet on "Love Abides."
