'The Journey Home' is really about the journey within. An ongoing journey to that part of one's self...myself. Memories of Christmases past triggered and/or inspired by Holiday music transport one right into the hear of their being. Christmas has been a time when I always seem to find my way home...to me. By age 2, I was singing Jingle Bells followed by many more Christmas Seasons performing songs that made me laugh,cry and feel loved. Where do we return when we want to go home? It is always right there within us, you and me.During this very special season, you can find a moment when you felt that all encompassinglove and feel it again and again thru the music. Long before the benefit concert in 2001, Judy and I begana recording in the Gallery at the Journey Museum, which shortly thereafter became frozen in cyberspace. Months later the idea of a band, which I dubbed the South Dakota Seven, came to life. Still, this was about a Journey within, to that place inside myself. It was a 'coincidence' it would be recorded/performed at the Journey Museum. Here I was in Rapid City, now my 'home' having been on the roadover 5 years touring the USA singing music from my 1st two CDs. The Journey Home,the journey within, is a lifetime, is now.
