Jeff Garver - First Set

'The First Set' was written and performed by Jeff Garver, and produced by Grammy award-winning producer and musician Will Ackerman and Grammy award-winning engineer and producer Corin Nelsen, both for Imaginary Road Studios, Windham County, Vermont. The songs were selected from the many that Jeff wrote and played over the years on his acoustic guitar. Each song was performed with one classical/nylon string guitar that was mic'd - two tracks for each song. Jeff first played and recorded one track of rhythm guitar, and then played and recorded one lead track over the rhythm track. He purposely limited the instrumentation to two tracks of guitar, as compared to a fuller band, to better reflect how he originally wrote and played the songs - and also to let the guitar stand out more.
