There is no denying the impact New York's hardcore scene had on the music genre. Crossing over and influencing metal (as well as rap at one point) and spawning the onset of the current Metalcore trend, it is a style that has and will always present more than just a form of music but for most a way of life (when one adds the political, social and other platforms many of the elite bands often had to coincide with their sonic offerings). Pro-Pain was at the heart of this lively scene. Together with their peers of the day (Cro-Mags, Leeway, Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law, etc), the band helped to pioneer the sound they continue to champion today. Candlelight Records with Rawhead Inc present the band's entire recording legacy. 2005.
