33-year-old Joe Pass was discovered by Pacific Jazz producer Dick Bock playing in the house band of the Synanon drug rehabilitation house. Soon after, he was at the label recording with a variety of leading artists including Bud Shank and the Jazz Crusader. This compilation (covering his first 2 years at the label) contains material with his own quartet, Gerald Wilson's Orchestra, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Les McCann and the Sounds of Synanon. Most of this swinging, thoughtful work is on CD for the first time. [Note: This product is an authorized, licensed CD and is manufactured on demand]
