I've been writing and performing songs my whole life. I've been asked countless times, 'When are you going to make an album?' or 'When are you going to record these songs?' or 'You need to share your music with more people'. After a reawakening of my songwriting passion in the past couple of years, I felt compelled to seek out a capable producer to make the dream a reality. I knew Rick Brantley from the Vineyard and presented my work to him. When he told me that Josh Seurkamp (percussionist with Randy Jackson and Phil Keaggy), Amos Heller (bass player with Taylor Swift), Jon Coleman (keyboardist with Trace Adkins) and Kenny Lamb (guitarist with JessLambBand) all agreed to play for the record, I knew it was going to be something special. Inspired by scripture, personal challenge, moments of being touched by the beauty of creation and the hearts of people, this album is a reflection of where I've been and where I'm going. 'Tell Me Again' is probably the song most responsible for this album. Whenever I would play it for people, they would always ask where they could get a copy of it. It seems to be a song that is as meaningful to others as it is to me. 'Rescue Me' was written at a low time when all I could do was cry out. I believe that through this song my cry was heard. The up-tempo 'Faith, Hope, Love' was inspired by watching people's desperate faces on a busy downtown city street. It's meant to lift up and encourage. 'Thanks Mom and Dad', which was written for my folks fiftieth wedding anniversary celebration. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house--I know mine weren't. I hope it blesses you to hear it as much as it did me to make it. In His Love, Brian.
