White Roses is the musical vehicle of Heather Rose, a songwriter originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. In the summer of 2009, Heather rounded up fellow students from the Berklee College of Music, Eddie Konopasek, Dan Roberts and Josh Gibes and went into a Boston area studio to knock out some rock n' roll songs. She asked a California colleague, Ed Goldfarb, to fly in to add some keyboard skills and production chops. They spent five days immersed in the studio and emerged with Take Back Your Mind. It is a modern rock n' roll commentary on American life in the 21st century, from the distinctive viewpoint of a member of the younger generation.
