A regular performer in the folk festivals of the '60s, Maria later migrated to Woodstock, New York, where she joined the new musical community that included such notables as Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin. In 1973 her tune "Midnight at the Oasis" became a huge success, and she continues to tour, logging over 200 performances a year. A strong advocate for children's music, Maria returns to recording with this wonderful collection featuring classic swing tunes from the '30s and '40s.
