When Chloe Chaidez decided, at 13, to leave her previous band, Wild Youth and start again with Kitten she had already racked up enough experience to match any artist twice her age. By 11 she had shared the stage with Midlake & Conor Oberst. Soon after recording with Bill Racine (Mates of State, Flaming Lips), Chloe chose to leave behind any notion of being a "teen act" and formed Kitten, where she combines her love of classic 50's songwriting with the DIY ethic of modern indie rock and electronic pop to forge a sound all her own pulling inspiration liberally from every decade.
