This CD distills a lifetime journey through jazz of a versatile pianist who has performed with many jazz giants of yesterday and today. Larry Vuckovich has worked with the likes of as Dexter Gordon, Philly Joe Jones, Tom Harrell, Bobby Hutcherson, Charlie Haden, Charles McPherson and others. His unique piano approach shows on his originals, plus hard-swinging contemporary jazz, classic bebop, Afro-Cuban and sensitive ballads that appear on this, his first full length trio album. He is joined by the hot, inventive rhythm team of Larry Grenadier and Akira Tana. Barry Harris calls Larry "one of the premier West Coast pianists". Charlie Haden describes him as "... an original voice on the piano... (who) plays with a lot of creative depth and feeling".
