'Stars Invisible By Day' is the second full-length album from Seattle four-piece The Quit. The 2008 release, 'Minus Tide', gained considerable local notice, including rotation airplay on 90.3 KEXP, Single of the Month/4 out of 5 stars from Sound Magazine, and Demo of the Week from 107.7 the End. Building on the engaging indie-pop sounds of their debut, 'Stars Invisible By Day' explores a broad range of sonic possibilities while maintaining the driving rhythms and catchy hooks of the band's first release. Working with producer Graig Markel (Animals at Night, Transmissionary 6) at Recovery Room studios, The Quit made full use of Markel's collection of analog synths, vintage guitars and homemade effects. The result is a collection of accessible, melodic songs crafted with a colorful array of tones, textures and harmonies. The band plans on touring the west coast and heading back into the studio by the end of 2010.
