On the first anniversary of his death, EMI releases this double disc tribute to the celebrated comedian. It includes many unreleased tracks. He is regarded as the Godfather of modern anarchic comedy, inspiring a host of acts that followed him, including Monty Python's Flying Circus and the guys behind South Park. He could hold his own along with his most famous act, the Goons, which included fellow greats Sir Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers, and still manage to shine apart from them. A fitting tribute to a troubled but brilliant man. Includes sleevnotes by producer George Martin.
