Lauren Redpath grew up in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, a small town outside of Minneapolis. She has a very close-knit family and no matter where she goes she will always call Mahtomedi home. Her dad's an entrepreneur who owns a computer business. Her mother is a homemaker and a beautician. Music was a huge part of Lauren's childhood. Her mother taught her how to sing and her Dad introduced her to a variety of music early in life. Lauren has two sisters who sing as well. Growing up together, they learned a lot about vocal harmony and still sing together today. The truth is Lauren knows exactly what she wants and works full-time at performing, writing and recording. She works very hard to keep her dream alive. She loves making people smile and inspiring them with heartfelt, honest and relevant lyrics. She graduated from McNally Smith College of Music to brush up on her skills and is now a professional musician. She's sung with several bands, performing at private events, clubs, corporate parties, sporting events, coffee shops, festivals, weddings and churches. You name it, she's done it. "I make a living singing at 23! What can be better than that?!" Lauren says. Lauren believes in hard work and persistence. She works at showing professionalism in her career, yet there is still a unique and creative side to her. Redpath says, "That's where my original music comes into play. Writing music is a way for me to express myself. It's easy for me to talk about my feelings through my music." One thing she's realized is that many people long for music that touches and inspire their soul. "I try to provide positive music for listeners. I am very open about my faith and write many songs that talk about my personal relationship with God, my life struggles and lessons I've learned. I also watch and learn from other people. People inspire me! I get great song ideas when I'm listening to someone else share their life story." Lauren has already released an original album called "New" and an acoustic Christmas EP called "The Heart Of Christmas". In 2006 the Christmas EP did very well. Lauren will be releasing a full-length Christmas CD this year, titled "Songs of Christmas" It will be released this October. There is so much happening in Lauren's life right now! The future is looking bright and she's looking forward to many more years of writing, recording and touring.
