Joe Bajuk, from the San Francisco area of California, was originally inspired by the music of Lojze Slak, playing the more European/Alpine style as the son of Slovenian immigrants who were from the Bela Krajina region. Years ago, Joe collaborated with the late Gary Seibert and in his earliest recordings featured Gary's daughter Donna Seibert-Clay and son Mark Seibert. Gary was very instrumental in promoting Bajuk on the button box as they shared an album entitled 'Twice As Nice'. This new album of mostly original Bajuk compositions, 'Something Old, Something New', features Cleveland-style musicians Mark Habat, Eddie Rodick III, Ralph Delligatti, and Norm Kobal with guest appearances by California musicians Toni Gruber on sax and John Krische on piano accordion along with special recording assistance from Bob Kravos in his Chardon, Ohio studio. Talented Toni Trontel Solarz also odes a vocal rendition of 'Treasured Memories'. Enjoy this 'California Slovenian' sound of Joe Bajuk.
