Santa Cruz's world-beat pioneers Special Fun have recently reunited to begin another soul-stirring musical project together. Members of Solcircle have been creating innovative, melodic & kinetic soundscapes for nearly twenty years and their energetic live shows reveal a deep chemistry working within this special musical brotherhood. Funky, jazzy and full of surprises, Solcircle's new sound further defines the burgeoning jam band music scene by blending horns, wind synthesizers, loops, steel drum, guitar, bass, drums and percussion to create a soulful musical dialogue between old friends and new audiences. Their first CD features guest performances by String Cheese Incident drummer Michael Travis, Oregon's Paul McCandless and Doobie Brothers keyboardist Dale Ockerman.
