Seasoned performer, artistic director and long-time Mass. Institute of Technology faculty member, pianist David Deveau (b. 1953) makes his Steinway & Sons label debut with a program revolving around the rarely heard Josef Rubinstein (brother of the famed 19th c. virtuoso Anton) solo piano arrangement of Richard Wagner's glorious Siegfried Idyll, as well as exploring the relationships between Wagner, Liszt and Brahms through the works of all three masters. Mr. Deveau has earned uniformly enthusiastic critical praise from numerous music critics since his spectacularly well-received NYC debut in 1982. His engagements in a thirty-year concert career constitute a long list of the finest American ensembles, orchestras, conductors, festivals and venues, and has been heard across the globe on record and radio.
