Asv Living Era

Living Era's She's So Good sums up the best of Eartha Kitt from 1952 to 1955. The 25 songs include the three forever associated with her that she introduced in her breakthrough performances in New Faces on stage and film: Monotonous, C'est si bon and Santa Baby. As befits such an accomplished Paris-trained nightclub entertainer, her repertoire is colorfully international; she sings songs in French (her Top Ten hit Under the Bridges of Paris...), Spanish (Angelitis negros...), Swahili (African Lullaby) and Turkish (Uska dara)! There is also Tea in Chicago, the great song she sang when starring in the 1954 stage production Mrs. Patterson. The programme is full of such characteristic Eartha Kitt numbers as Let's Do It, I Want to Be Evil, My Heart Belongs to Daddy and Lilac Wine (recently revived by Katie Melua).
