Samanayo - Samanayo

This is our first album together and first one that includes sacred chanting and a host of sounds from a variety of instruments. All tracks are recorded live and, in some cases, mixed with other indigenous tools that we use for sound and healing. The sounds on this CD consist of chanting and drumming, chau and other gongs, feathers, windwands, chacapas (Amazonian plant rattle), maracas and others. All of these tracks are held in various gatherings, in sacred space, designed for healing and transformation. These live recordings are a sacred healing journey, inspired by the teachings and experiences of indigenous shamans and healers around the planet. It is a call to our Ancestors, those who have walked before us, letting them know we are here, we are present, we are connected. It is a remembering, of our essence, our light, our intrinsic goodness. It is an embrace of our collective indigenous nature.
