David Wilson grew up in a small town in Ohio. He learned to play violin, piano, guitar and trumpet. David studied classical music with Eric Eichorn and in Hamburg, Germany. After graduating with a Masters degree in Performance, David moved to Los Angeles where he found work as a pianist and later focused on playing violin. He found a unique talent -- a breezy, casual sort of violin music, replete with bursts of passion which soar and then descend into lyric melodic passages. Doc Severenson was first to notice him; then David Bowie (who requested David as a teacher); then it was Henry Mancini who approached David to ask him to do solo performances for the score to the film Switch. David has developed a wide range of styles to add to his romantic ballads. His original compositions combine Latin, Jazz, Popular and Classical elements -- all of these musical milieus complimenting one another to create a stirring musical experience.
