The Fakers were formed on a Sherrif's Labor Assistance Program Clean-Up of Interstate 80 in 1998. After procuring some Guitars and amplifiers in exchange for some sports autographs and cigarettes of questionable origin, production of their CD commenced upon their release. Producer Phil Spector bowed out after his eventual run-in with the authorities, so the album was finished by the Fakers themselves. Master counterfeiters and art forgers, the Fakers have produced a CD which sounds remarkably like rock and roll. The reviews have been pouring in: '...a barrage of quirkie fun garage guitars that come together to form these 3 minute masterpieces.' - Bug, Host of Scotch Plains Cable's Egg TV '....I'll be listening to this CD 20 years from now' - R. Hill, Big Game Hunter and Musical Savant '.....these guys need cheering up' - Leo's Mother-In-Law.
