Reissue of 1975 Blue Note release. Ronnie Law's debut cut a funky edge on it's release in 1976. 'Always There' struck a resonance that still echoes today, whilst 'Tidal Wave' has been sampled in the Hip Hop era. Throughout Ronnie's playing has an edge that, maybe, subsequent albums did not quite match. The urgent 'Momma' and the funky 'Nothing To Lose' get in that mid 70's groove and don't overlook Ronnie's take on the Stevie Wonder penned 'Tell Me Something Good' that Rufus made famous.
