Wind-up recording artist 12 Stones represent what may be perceived as the quietest 300,000 records ever sold. With a small amount of commercial radio airplay, it was the power of touring & word of mouth that has built a sizeable following for the band. The act's debut album was supported through tours with Creed, 3 Doors Down, & other bands that graciously shared the road with the quartet. Now, after recently headlining the See Spot Rock tour, the band is continuing to present it's music to their growing legion of fans. Recently, 12 Stones placed the final touches on their second album, Potter's Field, which was once again produced by Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Ugly Kid Joe, "Punisher" soundtrack). The album title refers to those unfortunate people who are nameless or homeless who die unidentified & unclaimed, their bodies delivered to the city morgue & thereafter buried as "John" or "Jane" Doe. The graveyard where they rest is often called the "Potter's Field." the band's singer Paul McCoy is enjoying a broader profile that emerged from his guest vocal on the #1 Evanescence breakthrough track "Bring Me to Life." This performance also earned the singer his first Grammy Award. Greg Trammell (the band's second guitarist), has formally become a full-on member of the line-up, while Clint Amereno serves as 12 Stones touring bassist. With these two players joining McCoy, Eric Weaver (guitar) & Aaron Gainer (drums), the act performs as a quintet live.
