During the '80's and '90's, Vangelis continued to develop his sound, culminating with the soundtrack to 1942: Conquest in Paradise, the main theme which is now one of the biggest-selling instrumental works of the '90's. Portraits collects 15 recordings composed, arranged and performed by Vangelis over the last 20 years. The 1st album to contain the best of his BMG, WEA and Polydor masters in one digitally re-mastered set, highlights include "I Hear You Now" (with Jon Anderson of Yes), "Conquest of Paradise" and, of course, "Chariots of Fire."
