Portishead's 1st album, Dummy, was a pioneering document of a new music emerging from the U.K. based on sampling and hip-hop beats. They were copied so much after that release that the band presented a much different musical statement with the follow-up, Portishead, which found live instrumentation joining the sampling in a much bigger way. The 2nd album was launched with a show at NYC's Roseland, and this album captures that event, complete with full orchestra and conductor!
