Singer-songwriter & Maine native, Nancy Ray, has been performing throughout New England and in Ireland since 2001. It was only after raising four children and supporting a husband through medical school that she dusted off her guitar and returned to the music of her roots. Nancy's love for Celtic music is reflected in her vocal talents and her repetoire of mostly female Irish ballads. Her performances evoke the joy and the pain of the Irish woman both contemporary and in the historical context. Her first CD, Old Stone Bridge, is a collaborative effort featuring Nancy's voice & guitar, and local musicians of the Mount Washington Valley area Tom Dean (guitar, mandola, keyboard), Davey Armstrong (uilleann pipes, bodhran, whistles, banjo, mandola), Joyce Andersen (fiddle), Norm Smith (keyboard & accordian), and Craig Holden (guitar).
