Sophisticated, eclectic, universal...Words commonly used by critics and fans to describe Edison With the Weather, a band which encompasses acid jazz and world beat influences within a pop & rock 'n' roll context. Edison With the Weather has performed at clubs in four major cities including: TT the Bears and The Tam in Boston, Massachusetts, The Blue Bird Cafe, Twelfth and Porter, and 95's Dancin' in the District in Nashville, Tennessee as well as Tramps & The New Music Cafe in New York City and The Sam Adams Bar (1996 Philadelphia Music Conference) & The Grape St. Pub in Philadelphia. They currently reside in NYC, playing monthly weekend shows at The Bitter End while showcasing at CB's 313 Gallery or Wetlands. THE PLAYERS... David Sherman/ Vocalist, Keyboardist is the main songwriter for the group. His influences include George Gershwin, Joni Mitchell, Charles Mingus, and old movies. He combines quirky vocals with vintage keyboard sounds. Dan Grennes/ Bassist, Vocalist also cowrites some of the group's material. His soulful, edgy style on vocals and bass is a signature of EWTW's sound. Andy Sanesi/ Drummer is well-versed in jazz, hip-hop, funk, and straight ahead rock. Andy always provides solid grooves and textures for the tunes. Paul Pimenta/ Guitarist is the newest member of the group. Originally from Brazil, Paul grew up on Jobim and melodic guitar lines - the perfect combination for EWTW. Album Network: 'intelligently written songs... stellar musicianship.'
