Based in San Francisco, the Aqua Velvets are a classic surf group in the tradition of the Ventures and Dick Dale. Their 3rd release (1st for Milan) continues to redefine their signature sound, driven by the twang of reverb-heavy guitars, rumbling bass and crashing percussion. Combining high energy surf-rock grooves, soaring melodies, dreamy Mediterranean moods and exotic flavors, the Aqua Velvets have helped define the genre and are featured on Rhino's History of Surf Box Set.
