Matisyahu - No Place to Be

Matisyahu literally stands out like no other. Beyond his versatile voice which ranges from sweet and fluid, to rough and rugged, he's a very unexpected face, standing over six feet tall and wearing the traditional garb of a Hasidic Jew. With his long beard and black hat, his 24 years old lyricist, MC, and beatboxer is a singular performer, whose distinctive power, poetry, and skills unify the inspirations he found in Bob Marley, hip-hop, and his own cultural influences. His album Live at Stubbs became his breakout album and spawned the radio hit 'King Without a Crown (Live),' which segued into airplay for the studio version of the same song included on his studio album Youth. Youth went on to debut at #4 on the Billboard chart in March of this year, and both Youth and Live at Stubb's went on to become gold-selling albums. No Place to Be rewards the fans with some brand new recordings along with the long-awaited release of the Live in Jerusalem DVD.
