The Louie's are a 3 piece Rock-n-Roll band based out of Dixon Il. Formed in 2002 as an all Acoustic cover band, the Louie's performed locally for around a year then added the 'Electric' to the set. Led by 'The Deacon' Jeff (Frank) Sharp on guitar and vocals, and the rhythm section of brothers Dave Bushman (Bass) and Tim Bushman (Drums) the Louie's began writing and recording their own material. The first CD, 'Fruit of the Louie's' was recorded at Cellar Records (Dixon) and released Feb. 04. 'Fruit' was very well received, showing the different styles of The Louie's. From pop to punk to hillbilly, just 'Rock-n-Roll' is the best label you can put on it. In the Spring of '05, the Louie's were chosen by Taxi as a finalist for Discmakers 'Independant Music World Series'. Billboard Magazine then chose The Louie's as one of the top 6 for the Midwest IMWS. Where they competed at the Elbo Room (Chicago) for the title. Chicago Hip Hop band 'Treologic' won this event, but it was a great experience! The Louie's are: Tim Bushman - Drums/Vocals Jeff Sharp - Guitar/Vocals Dave Bushman - Bass/Vocals.
