Aaron Klump a musician born from a long line of musicians, takes improvised piano into the realm of hybrid composition with this latest release, 'Music for the Inner Cafe'. About this album Aaron writes, 'Early in the morning I asked everyone to leave the house, including the dog. For the next nine hours I hunched over the piano in anticipation of a great recording. At the end of the day I was pleased, very pleased and willing to accept this as my next album. Each song was an experiment in melody; with a book of scales in hand, I would randomly flip to a page and then compose a melody based on that scale. The melody suggested a chord progression and, pressing record, off I went, out came the next song. Nothing was edited save the ending to 'Je Suis Moi', which I trimmed down for flow. Otherwise this is as it came through. For the last two recordings, my wife and daughter where going around in circles in the cul-de-sac waiting for me to finish. The added pressure might have actually been good!' The is a perfect marriage of melody and mystery.
