Trumpeter/composer Liam Sillery collaborates with some of his friends in the New York jazz scene to pay tribute to his musical mentors in a set of originals inspired by the work of Ira Sullivan, Red Rodney and most importantly, tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson. A longtime member of New York's freelance musician corps, Sillery has been spending more time exploring his compositional voice and musical partnerships in projects with artists such as Los Angeles-based tenor saxophonist David Sills.
